Looks like SARS is getting worse and there is no end in the near future. I strongly suggest you NOT visit places like Philppines, Thailand and general Asia until the medical community finds a cure. People who do travel to such countries are being picked out when they travel to Europe or other non-infected countries due to the fear that the virus may explode in their country. Canada is proof that such a problem can exist. China being one of the main ports of entry for Thailand has made traveling to Asia difficult.

Anyone who tells you it is SAFE to travel to ASIA is lying to you. DON'T, people are in a panic and people are in fact dying.

It has come to our attention that people who make a living from selling trips to Asia (Thailand) are still promoting such trips with knowledge of possible danger.

I would steer clear of any Asian destination at the moment with the SARS virus on the loose. Over a hundred people have died. Stick to South America, North America and Europe.

World Health Organization SARS Mainpage

Latest SARS Stats (Aug-03)

Hong Kong & Singapore still seem to be high risk areas, especially in light of upcoming winter/flu season. Thailand has had only 9 SARS cases with 2 deaths.
